Dr. Edward Fruitman graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine. He completed his residency at Einstein/Montefiore and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Fruitman is nationally recognized as an expert in the field of Psychopharmacology delivering over 700 lectures and presentations at medical conferences, in grand rounds and other medical education settings. Artfully integrating his skills as a psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist, Dr. Fruitman works diligently to provide the best care specifically designed to each individual.

Melody Perlberg’s background includes working with various mental health illnesses and chemical addictions. She first started working with Trifecta's medical director, Dr. Edward Fruitman, in 2013 and completed extensive as well as diverse training in the outpatient clinical setting. Prior to Trifecta, she has experience in a multitude of state-of-the-art mental health, wellness, and addiction treatment facilities across Long Island and New York City. Melody is a board certified Physician’s Assistant and graduate of Hofstra University with a Masters of Science degree in PA studies. In 2017, she became a waivered practitioner with SAMHSA to treat opioid use disorder and currently obtaining her Doctor of Medical Science degree at A.T. Still University with a focus on clinical leadership. In 2021, she was awarded a certificate of outstanding dedication and volunteerism during the peak of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Her final capstone project is underway and focuses on ways clinicians can expand as well as destigmatize medication assisted treatment to help more patients amid the opioid epidemic. In her free time, Melody enjoys running, bird watching, rescuing dogs and volunteering at the Medical Reserve Corps near her alma mater in New York.

Benefita Jones is a Psychiatric Physician’s Assistant at Trifecta Health. She has upwards of eight years of experience in the Psychiatry field. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University. She was inspired to specialize in Psychiatry as it gives her an opportunity to improve patients' quality of life by catering to their individual needs. Benefita believes in the importance of open and honest communication to best assist the needs of her patients, and strives to deliver care with compassion and respect.

Chia-wei Jessica Lin is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner graduating from NYU in 2020. Prior to practicing at Trifecta, she worked as a nurse at an outpatient day treatment program assisting in patient treatment specializing in schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, her focus is a comprehensive, compassionate, and holistic approach to treatment. Treatment may include psychopharmacological and behavioral interventions that are all patient centered. For Jessica, it is important to her to ensure patients feel comfortable during the treatment process. She believes treatment is more than a diagnosis/label but the pursuit of general health maintenance and wellbeing. In her spare time, I spend time exploring the various gastronomic experiences that NYC has to offer.
SYDNEY RAE Serrano,

Sydney Rae Leviton is a psychotherapist who intends to meet her clients where they are. Working in collaboration with the Trifecta team, lead by Board Certified Psychiatrist, she utilizes the creation of an authentic therapeutic relationship to ensure the healing process leads to an improved quality of life for her clients, as well as a sense of empowerment to handle life’s future obstacles. Sydney has experience working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, as well as, co-occurring substance use disorders, and focuses on a strengths-based therapeutic approach to promote self-love and growth. With a background in both traditional and non traditional clinical settings, she works to assist her clients target ineffective behaviors, habits, and beliefs that keep them stagnant. Sydney received her master’s degree in Social work with concentrations in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work.
RAHEEJ CHOUDHARY,

Raheej Choudhary has been practicing as a Psychiatric PA-C going on three years. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant training from Drexel University in 2019. He possesses a keen sense in working with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. In addition, his experience runs the full gamut of psychiatry as he is pleased to assist anyone in improving their life by addressing their mental health in an appropriate, substantial, and clinically effective way. Raheej is a big proponent of patient education and having patients make wholly informed decisions when a plan is developed for their clinical care. He believes one's health should be a collaborative effort between the clinician and patient rather than a set of orders and medicines instructed over an appointment. For Raheej, transparency regarding medications, their efficacy, and side effects are always a large component of sessions along with supportive counseling, healthy reassurance, the right amount of discipline, and motivational interviewing.
