The Silent Condition: Diagnosing Adult ADHD/ADD

There are certain conditions which people simply don’t talk about. This is often down to ignorance, misunderstandings, or a lack of information. There are just as many conditions which people walk around with for years, or even a lifetime, without ever receiving a diagnosis.

Adult ADHD/ADD is one of them.

Mental Health Month

Did you know that May is Mental Health Month? According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, one in five Americans will be affected by mental illness in their lifetime.

At Trifecta Health, we believe that we have the opportunity to make a big difference in the mental health and wellbeing of our patients.

The Frustration of ADHD

If you live with someone suffering from Adult ADHD, perhaps in a relationship with them, you’ll know how frustrating it can be. You’ll also probably be familiar with the feeling of guilt after shouting or becoming annoyed at something they have or haven’t done.

The bottom line is that the symptoms of ADHD, when not diagnosed and managed, can be extremely damaging and disrupting to regular life. The good news is that once a person knows the ways to manage their condition, in conjunction with treatment options, the frustration will disappear and relationships will improve.
